One person, one obsession

Xabier writes software the way some people keep a sketchbook: around one obsession. 4 of 7 public repositories orbit the same subject — “The Battle Cats” — and each one attacks it from a different angle: editing its saves, predicting its randomness, even digging up its history.

The toolbox is unfussy: Java, Python and TypeScript. Whatever gets the job done — a desktop save editor here, a probability calculator there, a decompilation project when the itch calls for archaeology. There is even a fork of someone else’s C codebase, bent toward a new purpose.

And the READMEs are honest in a way most portfolios aren’t: when an AI helped, it says so, by name. Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT all get credit lines here. The tools change; the shipping doesn’t.

the README says so.”

Most of them shine on The-Battle-Cats-Unite-Editor. Niche tools, real users.

  • forked 3× by strangers

Batte-Cats-Gacha-Path-Finder has been copied and carried on by other people. The best compliment on GitHub.
